Do you control your camera, or does your camera control you? Today's cameras are amazing but they can also be a bit intimidating with all the features and settings. If you want to learn more about what your camera can do, and how to use it to your advantage, this class is for you.

Course Overview
This class will begin with a lecture followed by hands on exercises as we wander the grounds of Hot Sams.
During this workshop, the following topics will be covered:​
Working with different camera modes.
Using depth of field to isolate our subject.
Understanding the relationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO and the effects they have on a photo..
Creating depth through the arrangement of elements within a photo.
Selecting lenses and focal lengths and the impact that they have.
Working with light and understanding its effect on color and details.
Reading a histogram as part of evaluating your photos in camera.



Skill Level Required
This workshop is suitable for beginner photographers.
No prior knowledge of your camera is required to take this class. It is a good idea to bring your camera's manual with you.

For this class, you will need the following:

tripod (optional)

sunscreen (we will be outdoors)
