On Location Workshops
Travel and photography are a great match, and there are so many great places to explore and photograph.

About 10 years ago, I decided to start offering some on location workshops. These are typically 3 - 5 days in length. I pick locations that I have visited in the past, and spend considerable time scouting and preparing the itnierary.

For 2025, I have decided to cancel the Route 66 workshop due to uncertainty related to inflation caused by the new tariffs. My plan is to offer this is 2026, which will also be the 100th anniversary of Route 66.
For 2026, I will also be announcing some additional on location workshops.
Route 66 in Arizona
Dates: To Be Announced for 2026
The Mother Road, Route 66, the original route between Chicago and Los Angeles, has been made famous in movies, songs, and television shows. Sadly, much of Route 66 was abandoned when the interstate system was put in place.

Arizona contains a treasure trove of locations plus amazing natural beauty as well. This workshop visits everything from national parks and monuments to historic towns, and abandoned spaces. We spend three full days exploring and photographing this great area.
